In the final quarter of 2020, the Latin American region saw interesting movements in the Film & Television app category on the Android platform. Data from Sensor Tower provides a glimpse into the performance of the top applications in this segment.

Globoplay: Assista ao BBB 24! experienced a decrease in both downloads, dropping from 245K in late September to 142K by the end of December, and revenue, which went from $351K to $140K in the same period. However, weekly active users peaked at nearly 5M in the week of December 21, showing a significant level of user engagement.

Disney+ had an explosive start with downloads reaching over 10M in mid-November, followed by a steady decline to 2.56M by the end of December. The app's revenue saw an upward trend from $0 to $318K, while weekly active users increased from around 11M to over 10M.

The Crunchyroll app showed consistency in its performance with a gradual increase in revenue from $65K to $76K and downloads rising from 214K to 354K. Weekly active users saw a growth from 1.38M to 1.95M, indicating a solid quarter for the anime streaming service.
